Three Female British Judo Coaches Selected for UK Coaching’s Elevate Programme

British Judo is proud to announce that Chloe Nunn, Nekoda Smythe-Davis, and Lucy Renshall have been selected to join UK Coaching’s Elevate Women in Coaching Programme — a flagship initiative designed to inspire, develop, and empower women coaching within the sport’s talent and performance pathways.

The Elevate Women in Coaching Programme, delivered by UK Coaching, is a six-month development opportunity (October 2025 – March 2026) aimed at female coaches working in, or with potential to progress through, the England Talent Pathway. It focuses on:

  • Building strong professional networks

  • Broadening coaching perspectives

  • Developing the knowledge, skills, and behaviours needed for coaching at higher levels

The programme blends in-person and online workshops, one-to-one coach developer support, and a community of practice. Participants will refine their coaching aspirations, expand their influence, boost confidence, and strengthen their ability to deliver in challenging environments.

Breaking Barriers, Building Leaders

Elevate is specifically designed to address the under-representation of women in high-performance coaching. By placing participants in a supportive and empowering environment, the programme ensures they can shape their own learning journey, backed by expert guidance and peer collaboration.

In a sport where female coaches remain in the minority, the success of Chloe, Nekoda, and Lucy in securing places on the Elevate Programme is both a proud moment for British Judo and a significant step toward a more inclusive future.

We look forward to supporting them on this journey and seeing the impact they will have on the sport for years to come.
