Coach Register

British Judo’s Coach Register plays an important role in raising coaching standards and strengthening confidence across the sport.

Developed by British Judo in collaboration with the Home Nations, the Coach Register helps safeguard the integrity of judo by providing a clear record of coaches who meet the required standards to deliver the sport safely and effectively across Great Britain.

The register remains a key part of British Judo’s wider commitment to protecting the sport and everyone involved, supporting the organisation’s “Three Steps Safe” programme and helping to uphold high standards in coaching, safeguarding and club management.

Protecting the Integrity of the Sport

The Coach Register is more than a simple directory; it is a tool to enhance the safety, professionalism, and overall experience for members across all levels of the sport.

The register only displays certified and qualified coaches are actively working in clubs or delivering Judo in the community. By providing transparency about a coach’s qualifications and coaching status, the register ensures that everyone from parents to judoka can have confidence in the quality and safety of their instruction.

JudoScotland host their own Coach Register which is accessible via the link below.

The Coach Register is updated the first week of the calendar month.

The ‘Primary Club’ of the coach, is the club that the coach has on their BJA membership profile- they may coach at other clubs.

If you notice any discrepancies in the register you can check your own data in your ‘MyDojo’ account. For all other queries, please contact data@britishjudo.org.uk
