16 British Judoka to Compete at 2026 Skopje Senior European Cup

Sixteen British judoka are set to compete at the Skopje Senior European Cup in North Macedonia this weekend, with a mix of experienced senior athletes and rising talent travelling to Skopje.
Alexander Rijksen Salman (Bradley Stoke JC) will be Britain’s only representative in the -60kg category, making his first European appearance since competing at the Dubrovnik Senior European Cup in April 2024.
Britain has three judoka competing at -73kg this weekend. Reuel O’Neal Marshall (Ealing JC) returns for his third Senior European Cup of the year, looking to build on the experience gained from his previous two outings in 2026. Joining him is Harry Le Mare (Camberley JC), who brings plenty of European experience into the weekend as he targets his best result of the year. Tommy Jackson (East Yorkshire JA) completes the trio after claiming bronze at the Riga Senior European Cup earlier this year and will be aiming for another podium finish in Skopje.
Peter Davies (Ealing JC) and Benjamin Fox Kennedy (Sportif) will both represent Britain in the -81kg category. Davies arrives following an encouraging performance at the Paks Junior European Cup in July, while Kennedy makes his second Senior European Cup appearance of 2026.
Britain also has four fighters in the -90kg division. Corey O’Neal Narcis (Ealing JC) returns to European competition alongside Cameron Hickey (Camberley JC), who makes his second Senior European Cup appearance of the year. George Brown (Camberley JC) will make his Senior European Cup debut, competing in his first European event since the Birmingham Junior European Cup in 2023, while Jared Sey (Budokwai) completes the British quartet.
At -100kg, Jay Parkin (Micklefield JC) makes both his first European appearance of the year and the first Senior European Cup appearance of his career. He last competed internationally at the Birmingham Junior European Cup in 2025, where he finished seventh.
Joining him is Ollie Barratt (Dragons Academy), who returns to competition for the first time since finishing fifth at the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games. The event will also serve as valuable preparation ahead of the Senior World Championships later this month.
On the women’s side, Madeleine Birri (Ealing JC) competes at -57kg after a fifth-place finish at the Sarajevo European Open and will be looking to carry that momentum into Skopje.
Sophie Wood (Sportif) and Sunny Doig (Just Judo Yoshin) both contest the -63kg category. Wood returns after making her senior debut at the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games and gaining valuable experience on the European circuit throughout the year, while Doig arrives with a silver medal from the Gori Senior European Cup and a seventh-place finish in Riga already to her name in 2026.
Anya Hassan (Blyth Juno Michi) rounds off the British squad in the -78kg category. She returns to competition for the first time since March, when she secured bronze at the Riga Senior European Cup.
