SN judoka ready for Beverwijk XVIII

This weekend a number of Britain’s top Special Needs judoka will be competing at the prestigious XVIII Beverwijk Judo Tournament in the Netherlands. 

On Saturday 9 April a number of British judoka will be in action at the Open European Special Needs (OESN) and OESN Kata tournaments for Level 1-2 judoka including Olivia Turner (-78kg), BJA Inclusion Player of the Year Tom Mawdsley (-73kg), Connor Etherton (-73kg), Chris Murphy (-90kg), Mikey Lomas (-90kg) and Stuart Jackman (+90kg) who won silver last year with Turner also be competing in Nage no Kata level 2 B alongside Luke Mole later that day.

The OESN tournament is one of the biggest competitions on the SN Judo calendar and picking up a medal will set the GB judoka well for the rest of the year.

On Sunday 10 April the Ben van der Eng Memorial Tournament or BENG! will see over 20 British judoka taking part in a judo party for Levels 1-5 where fun is the most important part.
