Sad passing of Duncan Jones, British Police International judoka

It is with huge sadness that the British Judo Association reports the sudden death of Duncan Jones Police officer, Judo 4th Dan and British Police International judoka whilst coaching at his dojo Worcester Judo Club on Wednesday 16 July 2014.
Duncan will be greatly missed by his fellow members of Police Sport UK Judo (PSUK) the governing body for UK Police Judo, whose thoughts are with Duncan’s wife Sarah, their three children and family as well as the members of Worcester Judo club and Duncan colleagues within West Mercia Police at this very sad time.
Duncan was a great ambassador for police judo, a British Police Champion, Duncan had represented Great Britain in Police International events and was a member of the Police GB team that competed in Paris at the European Police Championships in 2011, Duncan was a judoka of great skill, kindness and sportsmanship his loss will be felt by many.
Tributes continue to be paid to this popular and greatly respected man.
