New six nations cadet team tournament for JudoScotland-Sportif International in 2016

The JudoScotland-Sportif International is set to take place on Saturday 26th March 2016 with a new six nations cadet team tournament following on 27th March. The competition and training camp (which follows 27-29th March) is a date to look forward to for pre-cadet, cadet and junior players.

This year’s event sees the return of a 60 strong French National Pole Team, made up of some of the nations cadet and junior players, as well as strong representation from the both Canadian regional and national cadet teams who also decend on Edinburgh for the competition at the Meadowbank Sports Centre.

2016 sees the introduction of a Six Nation (invitation only) Cadet Team Tournament, which will take place on Sunday evening after the first day’s training camp. Canada, France, Spain, England, Celtic All Stars and Scotland will battle it out in front of a capacity crowd of enthusiastic supporters. Limited mat side seating tickets and gallery spectator tickets are available from info@sportifjudo.com.

The training camp includes all 15 nations and with over 400 young athletes on the mat the quality of randori will be excellent. The JudoScotland-Sportif International is due to reach capacity long before the official closing date so clubs and coaches are advised to book places shortly.

The event organisers, Sportif Judo, provide accommodation information and arrange airport transfers from Edinburgh airport for international teams.
