IJF Release: Participation of Judoka In Other Combat Sports International Competition

For the attention of all judoka competing in International Judo Federation (IJF) competition:
In the framework of the rule written in the article 4.1. of the IJF SOR βAn athlete classified in any IJF WRL (either cadet, junior and senior) is not authorized to take part in an international competition of any combat sport, other than judo, unless authorization has been given by the IJFβ.
The automatic sanction system for athletes who did not ask the IJF authorization or did not respect the IJF decision is applicable as follows:
– 1st violation: 2 months suspension of IJF and its Unions competitions and other judo activities e.g. training camp.
– 2nd violation: 2 years suspension of IJF and its Unions competitions and other judo activities e.g. training camp.
This automatic sanction is subject to appeal with the IJF Disciplinary Commission.
The time limit to appeal shall be 15 days from the receipt of the automatic sanction appealed against.
