Gold for Great Britain at the USPE European Police Championships

Great Britain’s Gary Cole overcame Germany’s Holk Silbersack to win the gold medal in the -60kg category at the USPE European Police Championships in Dresden, Germany.
Gary of the Dyfed Powys constabulary, becomes the first British male to win a gold at the event, with Dresden being the 17th edition of the competition.
Elsewhere Great Britain’s Kate Harris (-63kg) and Lee Holley (- 81kg) came seventh whilst, Joanne Coull (-57kg) and Fraser Menzies (-73kg) from Police Scotland both finished fifth.
Lauren Holley, Sian Wilson, Jason Moore, Sam Delahay and Gavin McNeill are all in action today.
The USPE European Police Championships is a multi-sport event which brings together police officers from all over Europe to represent their country.
