NHC Koshiki no kata course – 15 Mar 26 – Wokingham
March 15, 2026

The aim of this course is to introduce players to Koshiki-no-kata (Form of the antique things). This kata consists of 21 techniques delivered into a kata in order to preserve the historical source of judo. The set of forms is antique and were intended for “Kumi-uchi”, the grappling of armoured warriors in the feudal ages. As such, the kata is to be performed with both partners imagining that
they are clad in armor.
This is a British Judo Association Licensed Coach Education Course which is worth one credit. All applicants must hold a current FULL BJA (or affiliated body) membership & be a minimum grade of 3rd Kyu (Green Belt). Ideally you would attend with a partner to practice with, however we will endeavour to pair up individuals who attend the course.
