Midland Area Kata Masterclass 2026 – Katame-No-Kata

Location:  British Judo National Performance Centre, Walsall, West Midlands WS1 3BD

This course will introduce players to Katame-No Kata, which satisfies the Kata requirements for 2nd Dan. (Level 1 certificate is required for competitive, Level 2 for Technical).

Attendees can be assessed up to level 3, but must have had 6 months between each examination level.

This is a British Judo Association licensed coach education course worth one credit for revalidation.

All applicants must hold a current FULL BJA membership and be a minimum grade of 10th Mon or 3rd Kyu (Green Belt).

White judogi are to be worn on the day. 6th Dan and above are requested to wear their black belt.
