L2 – London Area Development Event

Venue: SportsDock, University of East London, Docklands Campus, University Way, London E16 2RD

National Medalists from the British Minors Championships 2026 are NOT eligible to enter
this event as this is a development event.

Groups:
GROUP 1 – RED BELTS (aged 8 to 11 yrs on the day of the event)
GROUP 2 – RED BELTS (aged 12 to 15 yrs on the day of the event)

GROUP 3 – YELLOW BELTS (aged 8 to 11 yrs on the day of the event)
GROUP 4 – YELLOW BELTS (aged 12 to 15 yrs on the day of the event)

GROUP 5 – ORANGE BELTS (aged 8 to 11 yrs on the day of the event)
GROUP 6 – ORANGE BELTS (aged 12 to 15 yrs on the day of the event)

Players will be grouped into pools of 4/5/6 players of their weight, where possible, based on
the age/grade groups below. However, some groups may need to be merged, and in these
instances, it will be discussed with the coaches or parents/guardians of the affected players
