Finding Your Feet Series- Dynamic Balance the next steps – 25 Apr 26 – Online Webinar

Date/Times: 25th April 2026 – 10:00-12:00 – Online via MS Teams

Cost: £20

For Coaches who have already completed Finding Your Feet course, a 2 hour webinar delivered by Meera and Michael Headland, supported by Adelaide University. Offering a review of another successful judo programme to the older adults. Content to include:

• Review the research to date, both what we’ve done and other teams published work
• Outline of the Dynamic Balance for Life 10-week program – with a focus on ‘avoiding a fall’ ‘how to land safely’ and ‘how to recover from a fall’.
• Working with older adults with a range of limitations and challenges (case studies from peripheral neuropathies to double hip or knee replacements)
Sharing our experience of the risk management approach and things to be aware and careful about.
• Next Steps – transitioning people from an Introductory program to becoming members of your Club
• Adaptive syllabus we’ve developed for people we call ‘Continuing Balancers’ to get them to a DBfL Yellow belt, through to DBfL Blue belt.
