Details:

5 days of Japanese Judo coaching from Sensei Hidemasa Tanaka (Kodokan Cup All Japan judo champion and National team member. Tanaka-sensei is an Internationally respected and influential judo coach with a characteristic coaching style, based upon an outstanding career in physical education in Japanese High Schools.

The seminars will be delivered as coaching sessions covering judo fundamentals: movement, posture, balance, gripping applied in warm-ups to, dynamic uchi komi, application in nage waza, renzoku-waza, then in transition/connection techniques renraku-waza. There will be progression throughout the week.

This series of seminars is suitable for dedicated judoka those wanting to improve their skills
– developing judoka (aged 9+)
– experienced judoka wanting to tune their skills by re-engaging in the fundamental elements of successful judo
– coaches wanting to experience how the fundamental skills are taught in Japanese High Schools

Sessions will run 10am-2pm each day, with a break for lunch.

Please remember to bring a packed lunch and water bottle, and arrive in good time to get changed and be on the mat promptly for 10am.

This is a British Judo Association Licensed Coach Education/Revalidation Course – you must attend a minimum of 2 of the 5 days for 1x Coach Revalidation Credit
