We look forward to you joining us the three-hour BJA Safeguarding Welfare Officers Course, this course is specifically ONLY for University Club DSL’s
This will be blended learning experience online with interactive activities.
Learning Outcomes
By the end of the course, participants will be able to:
- Understand the role and responsibilities of a Club Welfare Officer within a BJA-affiliated club.
- Recognise how safeguarding fits into the wider BJA safeguarding culture and local contextual safeguarding.
- Identify appropriate responses to safeguarding concerns, including use of BJA MyVoice and escalation pathways.
- Support coaches, committee members, and volunteers to safeguard themselves and others.
- Apply BJA safeguarding policies and procedures to real-life club scenarios involving both children and adults.
- Build trust and relationships within their club to promote a child-centred and person-focused safeguarding culture.
