Adaptive Judo Conference with focus on Coaching Adaptive Judoka with physical impairments – 7 Feb 27 – Walsall

This course will be led by Kerry Tansey with representation from the EJU also in attendance (TBC).

The course is both practical and educational, judo suits, tracksuits/comfortable clothing are required. Learning will take place in the dojo and classroom. Welcome to the wider judo community, coaches, officials, referee’s and families.

Tea and coffee are provided throughout the day. Please bring your own food provisions.

Coaches are welcome to come and learn how to enhance their skills, knowledge and support the judoka of all levels of disability. covering different learning and delivery styles. Attendance all day is required to achieve revalidation criteria

Venue: BJA National Training Centre, Walsall

Cost: £20, the first 10x coaches to register using code: ADAPTIVE27 to get Free entry.

9.00 – 9.30 Tea/Coffee registration
9.40 to 10.00 Kerry to open conference
10:00 – 10:40 PP presentation Coaching Judoka with physical impairments:
20 mins change into judogi
11:00 – 12:00 Mat based session
12:00 – 12:50 Lunch with Chat & Talk -lived experience as an adaptive
1:00 – 1:40 PP presentation lived athlete experience
20 mins change into judogi
2:00 – 3:00 Mat based session
3:00 – 4:00 Competition, Pathways structure- updates by Kerry
