Dartford Judo Club hosts Georgii Zantaraia master class
August 28, 2012
Former world champion and London 2012 Olympian Georgii Zantaraia will make a rare appearance in Britain to stage an ‘Impossible Judo’ master class at Dartford Judo Club on Saturday 1 September.
The master class is also a coach revalidation event and has been organised in a joint venture between Tonbridge Judo Club and Dartford Judo Club.
Ukrainian star Zantaraia, 24, a three-time world medallist and 2011 European champion, is one of the most spectacular judoka in the sport and has a skill-set that few judoka in the world can match.
Tonbridge Judo Club head coach and Olympian Chris Bowles said: “Georgii is the most inspirational and talented judo player, with a personalityto match that I’ve come across.
“He is what competitive judo is all about. For any aspiring judoka young or old this course is a must. As a revalidation event, also, from a coach’s point of view, how could you miss it?”
