Commonwealth star and Olympian in action at Heart of England
September 06, 2014
After all the excitement and medals at today’s Heart of England for Pre-cadets and Cadets, tomorrow’s event in Walsall will see the Juniors and Seniors in action.
Olympian Gemma Howell returns from injury, while Commonwealth Champion Owen Livesey will be fighting up a weight at -90kg.
Gemma said: “I am very excited to be back fighting. My first competition will be the Heart of England and then I have the Croatia Grand Prix the weekend afterwards.”
Owen said: “I’ve just finished a tough three week conditioning block and is feeling in really good shape. I will be competing in the Heart of England competition this weekend as part of his training to get some fights. After this I will taper towards his next four tournaments which are Tallinn, Lisbon and Mauritius Continental Opens.”
He also hopes to be selected for the Abu Dhabi Grand Slam.
There are many more entrants confirmed. Check out the entry lists and the action here: www.judotechnologies.com
