British Judo and England Judo have joined forces to put you through your paces every Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday evenings throughout the latest lockdown and the lead up to Christmas.
British Judo and England Judo are inviting members to join us for a series of virtual judo training sessions to help keep you motivated and in shape, ready for your return to the tatami.
Every Tuesday, two time Olympian and four-time European medallist, and now England Judo Talent Development Coach, Sophie Cox, will be running a session from 19:00-19:30 for judoka aged between 14-22 yrs old, with a focus on judo mobility and fitness.
Wednesday evenings, between 18:00-19:00, sees the return of Wayne Lakin and his popular Warrior Training sessions. Developed over a number of years and used by the likes of Leicester Tigers and our very own Olympic and Paralympic Judoka, now is your turn to try your hand at Warrior Training!
Starting on Wednesday 11th November and running initially for 4 weeks, Wayne will be coaching weekly sessions focusing on a specific technical aspect, before unleashing your inner warrior with a circuit-based workout that will really get your blood pumping! These sessions are open to members aged 18+.
England Judo Talent Development Coach, Jason Parsons, will be leading a judo mobility and fitness session for judoka aged between 8-14 yrs old every Friday evening between 18:30-19:00.
These sessions are open to all valid British Judo members. You can sign up to the sessions free of charge below. Booking is open for the first week of workouts and each session following this will be open seven days in advance. Then keep an eye on your emails as prior to each session we will send you the link needed to join and provide details of any equipment needed – don’t worry, it will all be things you have lying around the home!
