2026/27 Regional Schools Competition Calendar Confirmed

British Judo is pleased to confirm the calendar of Regional Schools Competitions for the 2026/27 season, with judoka across Great Britain set to compete for qualification to the British Schools Championships 2027.

The regional competitions provide young judoka with the opportunity to represent their school while earning qualification for one of the highlights of the domestic schools calendar and are an excellent opportunity for young judoka to experience competitive judo in a schools environment before progressing to the British Schools Championships.

British Judo encourages judoka, parents, coaches and schools to make a note of the dates and plan their participation early.

2026/27 Regional Schools Competition Dates

The current schedule of qualifying events is:

To be eligible to enter the British Schools Championships 2027, judoka must:

• Compete at at least one Regional Schools Competition between September 2026 and March 2027
• Attend a school in Great Britain

Judoka living in Scotland can qualify by competing at the Scottish National Closed Championships 2026.

Exceptions to the qualification criteria may be considered in exceptional circumstances. Any requests must be submitted to the British Judo Events Team via email no later than December 2026.
