Claim The Cost of Your Next Coaching Qualification with our Coach Education Bursary

After the success of previous Coach Education Contribution Funds, a further £10,000 has been released to create further funding opportunities for aspiring and existing coaches in England who wish to apply for assistance with their coaching journey and attain their next coaching qualification – Level 1, 2 or 3.

This fund aims to build resilience in our coaching workforce, with our key goal to offer more people the opportunity to live more active lifestyles through judo.

This funding will enable individuals within BJA Clubs working with, or personally from, our target audiences (listed below), to progress their coaching qualification and widen the coaching support within their existing or new clubs:

  • Lower socio-economic groups (LSEG)
  • Culturally diverse communities
  • Disabled people
  • Older Population (e.g. Finding your Feet)
  • People with long-term health conditions

If successful, the funding will cover the entire cost of the course attending but no further expenses.

This is applicable only to those of our members in England and to cover only courses taking place in England starting from April 2026 (courses already begun before receiving funding are not eligible).

Should you have any questions regarding the bursary then please email: joyce.heron@britishjudo.org.uk
