British Judo is proud to launch Meet the Elite, a new programme connecting clubs, schools and community organisations with some of the country’s top judoka.

Through engaging masterclasses, workshops and inspirational talks, participants will have the opportunity to learn directly from elite athletes and hear first-hand about their journeys in the sport.

With anticipation building for the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games and the Home Nation squads now officially announced, there has never been a better time to connect with the athletes who will be representing England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland on one of sport’s biggest stages.

Meet the Elite has been designed to bring the excitement of elite-level judo directly into local communities, creating unforgettable experiences that inspire the next generation while strengthening connections across the judo family.

Whether you’re looking to enhance technical development on the mat, inspire young people through powerful athlete stories, or create a memorable event for your members, Meet the Elite offers a unique opportunity to engage directly with some of Britain’s top performers.

Participating athletes can deliver:

  • Technical masterclasses and training sessions
  • Club visits and guest coaching appearances
  • School and community engagement activities
  • Question and answer sessions
  • Motivational and inspirational talks
  • Leadership, resilience and performance workshops
  • Event appearances and special guest opportunities

From Olympic and Commonwealth Games athletes to World and European medallists, participants will gain valuable insight into what it takes to perform at the highest level while hearing first-hand stories of dedication, resilience and success.

With Glasgow 2026 fast approaching, Meet the Elite provides clubs and communities with the chance to become part of the Commonwealth Games journey.

Athletes across the Home Nations are currently preparing for one of the most significant competitions in their careers, and now clubs and community groups can welcome them into their own environments to share their experiences, ambitions and preparations ahead of the Games.

The programme aims to inspire judoka of all ages while showcasing the incredible talent emerging from across the British Judo pathway.

British Judo is now inviting clubs, schools, community organisations, local authorities and partners to register their interest in hosting a “Meet the Elite” session.

Whether you’re looking to inspire young people, celebrate a club milestone, support a community programme or create a memorable event, our athletes are ready to share their experiences and help motivate the next generation.

“Meet The Elite” options include:

Technical Masterclasses
On mat technical delivery, (Evening/weekend daytime) (Max 4 hours)
Price to be discussed based on requirements, plus reasonable travel expenses

Athlete appearance
Photos/Autographs/Q&A (Max 1 hour – No physical Judo delivery)
(Could be in a Club, Business or School environment)
Price to be discussed based on requirements plus reasonable travel expenses

The athlete will receive 100% of the fee from each appearance

We will try and facilitate as many appearances as possible depending on the athlete’s schedules. We will work alongside each selected club/area to help promote the event and drive media attention to the visits to further engage new audiences for the sport.
