Club, Area and National C – Referee Module – 31 Jan 26 – Gillingham

The Southern Area and Kent are running a Club, Area and National C course on Saturday 31st January 2026. Please see below the minimum requirements.

Club Referee:

  • 12 years of age
  • 10th Mon / 3rd Kyu
  • A minimum of 1-year judo experience
  • Must hold current BJA / Judo Scotland / NIJF / WJA membership

Area Referee:

  • 15 years of age
  • 13th Mon / 2nd Kyu
  • Have been a Club referee for at least 1 year, unless entering directly at Area level
  • Must hold current BJA / Judo Scotland / NIJF / WJA membership

 National C Referee:

  • 18 years of age (unless they started at Club level, it is then 16)
  • 18th Mon / 1st Kyu (if going directly to National C, must have satisfied Fast Track criteria)
  • Have been an Area referee for 1 year, unless entering directly at National C level
  • Must hold current full BJA / Judo Scotland / NIJF / WJA membership

Please bring your white Judo Gi, pen, paper and lunch with you. The course is fun, interactive and lead by the senior referees in the Southern Area.

Exit event: Those that pass the theory will be invited to take their practical examination on February 7th February 2026 at Medway Park, further info will be shared on the day of the course and nearer the time of the exam.

N.B. The course will finish at 4 pm as the sports centre closing at this time.
