A Technical Dan Grading Course/Assessment – 15 & 16 Nov 25 – Southend

A Technical Dan Grading Course/Assessment will take place on Saturday and Sunday . There will also be a Competitive Skills preparation and exam. Candidates will be able to complete either or both.

Venue: Westcliff Judo Club, Chase Sport and Fitness Centre, 250 Prittlewell Chase,
Southend on Sea, SS0 OPR.

Tutor: Dave Horton-Jones 7th Dan National Gradings Manager

Date: Saturday and Sunday 15th and 16th November 2025

Sessions: Saturday 10.00am to 4.00pm Booking in at 9.30am

Sunday: 9.00am to 1.00pm (finish times approximate)

During the weekend candidates will be tutored on the Technical Dan Grade Syllabus and will be continually assessed in order to complete the promotion requirements. This is a fantastic opportunity to obtain a promotion and to further develop your judo skills. All exam passes will be honoured prior to the new revised exams starting Jan 2026

Candidates MUST have previously carried out some preparation for the examination
Cost: £50.00 There will be an additional fee of £50.00 to register the promotion.

There will be no additional fee for the Competitive skills exam.

There will be an opportunity to carry out a Katame-no-kata exam which will require a £10 cash fee to register a pass and award of certificate.

Prior registration is required.
