2024 Pre-Cadet and Cadet British Championships Preview

The 2024 Pre-Cadet and Cadet British Championships are set to take place this weekend, bringing together the UK’s top young judokas. Here’s your guide to the weekend’s action, including how to watch, key information and competitors to keep an eye on.

As one of the premier events on the UK judo calendar, this championship is expected to draw top competitors from across the country in the Pre-Cadet and Cadet categories.

When and Where?

The event will take place on Saturday 7th and Sunday 8th of December, hosted in the Sports and Wellness Hub at the University of Warwick.

  • Louie Seguin: Bronze Medallist at the 2023 British Championships; recently secured 1st place finishes in the European Hopes Cup in both Riga and Brno

Cadets

  • Harry Egleton: Winner of the 2023 British Championships (-38kg)
  • Stanley Pusey: 3x British Champion
  • Lenny Tancock: Silver Medallist at the Scottish Open Cadet Championships earlier this year
  • Luka Gigilashvili: Gold Medallist at the Northern Ireland Open U18 (Derry) earlier this year
  • Nikoloz Shengelia: Bronze Medallist at the 2023 British Championships (-66kg)
