We are pleased to announce that we will be running a number of virtual Time to Listen courses in October and November to allow clubs to revalidate or certify new Club Welfare Officers.
The Time To Listen training consists of 3 modules that will be delivered over 2 days, 1 week apart. Each session will start at 18:30 and will run until approximately 20:30 each evening. We have the capacity to arrange more training if there is the demand.
At the end of the course, participants will be able to:
- Identify what a club welfare officer does,
- Describe how a club welfare officer works with others to create a child centred environment,
- Explain how the club welfare officer role fits into the wider safeguarding environment,
- Apply learning to case studies including sharing good safeguarding practice.
The course takes place over two sessions and will incorporate three modules using a virtual classroom setting to enable you to complete this from your own home. There is a one-week gap between the two sessions to support action planning. All 3 Modules must be completed.
