SUMMARY:Club\, Area and National C - Referee Module - 26 Sep 26 - Kidderminster
DESCRIPTION:Referee education modules are suitable for those candidates who wish to gain the knowledge and theoretical qualification for their next level referee award. The modules are also suitable for participants who have no intent to become a referee but do wish to improve their knowledge of refereeing. \nClub\, Area\, Nat C module is focussed on process\, signals\, control and other general referee responsibilities\, attendees are expected to know basic principles commensurate with their belt grade before attending as this will be needed. \nThe module will end with a theory examination\, some of which will be elements you should already know before the course and mostly on the skills you have acquired during the module. The practical element will be done separately at an assigned event identified by the tutor / your coach. DESCRIPTION:Categories:\nThis is a dan grading for men and women currently graded 1st kyu to 4th dan.\nThis follows our previous extremely successful gradings\, we average over 60 players at each\ngrading and usually have sufficient high grades that men can be graded to 5th dan on the day and\nwomen have line-ups and points for up to 4th dan. We therefore confidently expect a high turnout of\nall grades for this grading.\nMasters will be paired together where reasonably possible. \nWeigh-in Times Changed\nBecause of the large entry (even by our usual numbers)\, the weigh-in times have changed and are now: \nMale 1st kyu: 9.30 – 9.50 am\nAll women: 12.30 – 1.00 pm\nMale Dan grades: 2.00 – 2.30 pm \nEligibility:\nAll candidates must hold current BJA membership and be a minimum of 15 years of age. Candidates\nmust be BJA 1st kyu or above. Players holding AJA or BJC grades and wishing to convert to BJA\ngrades are also welcome\, please contact us by email to discuss\, well in advance of the event.\nFor dan grades\, please note that it is the COMPETITIVE dan grade which is the relevant grade. DESCRIPTION:The conference will focus largely on providing an overview on proposals to improvements to the Dan Grade syllabus\, the introduction of more user friendly examination sheets and a briefing on changes approved in the last 12 months to include the scoring of Waza-aris in Dan Gradings and enabling a greater level of inclusivity. \nThis conference is primarily for Senior Examiners and Judoka under training to become a Senior Examiner.
