SUMMARY:NHC Kata Weekend – Kime-no-kata & Nage-no-kata - 1 Aug 26 - Wokingham
DESCRIPTION:The aim of this course is to introduce players to Kime-no-kata (the kata of real fighting). This kata consists of 15 techniques and it teaches the theory of the skilful application of flexibility in order to defeat strength and it was developed to study how to lift up a body and understand the ways of different fighting methods. Ju no Kata was developed at the Kodokan in 1887. \nThis is a British Judo Association Licensed Coach Education Course which is worth one credit. All applicants must hold a current FULL BJA (or affiliated body) membership & be a minimum grade of 3rd Kyu (Green Belt). Ideally you would attend with a partner to practice with\, however we will endeavour to pair up individuals who attend the course. \nNage-no-kata is one of the two randori-no-kata free practice forms of Kodokan Judo. It is intended as an illustration of the various concepts of nage-waza (throwing techniques) that exist in judo. The kata is composed of 3 techniques each from the five classifications of throws in judo. Ideally you would attend with a partner to practice with\, however we will endeavour to pair up individuals who attend the course. \nKatame no Kata was developed at the Kodokan between 1884 and 1887 following the development of the Nage no Kata. It is composed of three groups of grappling techniques each with five representative techniques.
