The British Judo Association recently published the Cadet Identification Policy for the 2018 European Cadet Championships and GB Futures Programme. This policy was formed by The Home Country Pathway Commission, who also took this opportunity to review the use of the Ippon League and GB Cadet Identification List.
During this review, it was highlighted that the Ippon League was solely being used for seeding at competitions. Considering this the Home Countries took the decision to discontinue use of the Ippon League and revert to the GB Cadet Identification List. For the seeding of competitions BJA and Home Countries will use a rolling GB Cadet Identification which will not be published.
Further information regarding the scoring system and events used to create the Cadet Identification List can be found in the Cadet Identification Policy for the 2018 European Cadet Championships and GB Futures Programme.
