IJF World Tour allocations ** IMPORTANT UPDATE **
Dear GB Squad Member
As we approach the Olympic Qualification period, we would like to offer clarity on the allocation of IJF World Tour (Grand Slam and Grand Prix) events.
Outside of the qualification period (non-qualification period), fighters on the WCPP are prioritised for IJF World Tour events in accordance to their IFP (Individual Fighter Plan). For GB Squad fighters applying for their Personal Programme, they are allocated events if spaces are available or allocated a reserve space should one become available.
During Olympic Qualification – from the 23 June 2022, where there are more than two fighters requesting to attend a Grand Prix or Grand Slam, fighters ranked in the Top 36 of IJF WRL (qualification for the IJF World Masters) at the six-week deadline, will be prioritised, irrespective if the fighter is a WCPP or GB Squad fighter.
If there are more than two fighters ranked in the Top 36 of IJF WRL at the six-week deadline, then allocation will be based on WR – the two highest ranked fighters.
If there are no fighters in the Top 36, we will revert to the non-qualification period prioritisation outlined above. In this instance, should places be available for GB Squad fighters Personal Programme applications, they will be prioritised according to the WR.
In terms of selections, the teams for the Senior European Championships and Senior World Championships will be selected against the published selection policies.
*Special Note: Personal Programme applications for GEO GS must be RESUBMITTED for the new June date by the 6-week deadline date of Friday 22nd April.
The Performance Team.
