Following a meeting of the GB Performance Team, and the subsequent ratification from the PMG, the following athletes meet the FIRST STAGE criteria outlined in the 2018 Senior World Championships Selection Policy Document, and have therefore been selected to represent Great Britain at the 2018 Senior World Championships to be held from 20-27 September, in Baku, Azerbaijan:

*Lucy Renshall has been selected at the First Stage selections, but unfortunately will not be available due to long-term injury, and therefore this place will be open at the Second Stage of selections.
These First Stage Selections have been made and announced within the timelines set out in the 2018 Senior World Championships Selection Policy document being week 25, week commencing 18 June. In an amendment to the Selection Policy, Second Stage and Final Selections for the 2018 Senior World Championships will be made and announced no later than week 34, week commencing 20th August to include HUN GP & BLR CO. All selections will be dependent on athletes adhering to the BJA’s Performance Programme and Code of Ethics & Conduct Policy.
All selected athletes MUST wear Adidas Judogi that will be provided by British Judo as per the 2018 Senior World Championships selection procedure.
It will be compulsory for all selected athletes to attend the Media Day on Thu 23rd August. Details to be confirmed.
The GB Senior Elite Performance Coach will meet with non-WCP athletes to discuss their preparation programme.
