National Randori at the British Judo Centre of Excellence – University of Wolverhampton, Walsall Campus.
National Randori forms part of the BJA Centre of Excellence programme, which involves an increased volume of randori on a weekly basis.
This open randori session is available to all junior and senior players who feel they are at a level to attend (14 and above).
Furthermore, this session will provide a regular opportunity for GB National coaches to see up and coming British talent.
Following a review of the British Judo Centre of Excellence weekly training schedule, a decision has been made to remove the Tuesday night weekly National Randori as of January 2020.
There are a number of various reasons contributing to the making of this decision, however an alternative night is available for all GB Junior and Senior Squad athletes to attend a weekly evening session at the British Judo Centre of Excellence.
Every Wednesday, all GB Squad athletes and ENG programme athletes have the opportunity to attend a weekly Wrestling and England Pathway Session as follows:
- 6:00 – 7:30pm Freestyle Wrestling Session – Ranjit Singh (Wolverhampton Wrestling)
- 7:30 – 9:00pm England Talent Development Centre Randori – Dave Elmore and Fitz Davies
Both sessions are also supported by the GB Elite Performance Coaches and GB Programme fighters.
Should you have any questions with regards to the Wednesday evening sessions, please don’t hesitate to contact the GB Performance Pathway Manager, Tim Ellis – email@example.com
Additionally, GB Junior and Senior Squad athletes have the option to attend any of the day time Technical and Randori sessions at the British Judo Centre of Excellence. For further information on the weekly schedule, please contact the GB Head Coach, Kate Howey – firstname.lastname@example.org
