DESCRIPTION:PLEASE NOTE: This course is for University Judo Club CWOs/DSOs ONLY\nIntroduction: \nOn behalf of BJA Safeguarding Team\, we are inviting you to attend safeguarding training for University Judo Club CWOs/DSOs (we will be facilitating annually). \nIt is a great opportunity to reflect on your learning and Continuous Professional Development (CPD). \nFacilitators:  \nMarina Dain: Safeguarding Manager \nAndrew Bowly: Head of Inclusion\, Safeguarding & Wellbeing \nAim: To promote best practice for Safeguarding with Children & Young People and Adults within the BJA \nLearning Outcomes: \n\nTo understand the policies\, procedures and legislation which underpin our role\nTo increase skills and confidence when engaging with safeguarding issues and in recognising the indicators of abuse\nTo promote best practice when contributing to ‘recognising\, responding\, referring & recording’ safeguarding concerns\nUnderstanding the impact of abuse and trauma on children\nTo gain up to date knowledge on current issues of risk that impact on Children & Young People\nTo raise awareness and familiarisation of BJA and local procedures relating to referrals & reporting\n\nDates \n10th Feb 2025: 6.00-8.00pm \nOr; \n10th March 2025: 6.00-8.00pm \nEligibility: You must be a Univeristy Judo Club CWO/DSO to attend \nHeld via Microsoft Teams (link will be sent once booked) \n\n\n
