SUMMARY:Kanji Coaching\, Officiating & Referee - 16 Aug 25 - York
DESCRIPTION:This module is designed to help club coaches teach club members the basics of coaching\, officiating and refereeing to a level where the member will be able to assist the coach in a club environment at pre licenced events. The club members will generally be taught in their own club\, it is expected that Kanji referees\, officials and coaches will be able to contribute to club based coaching sessions and in house events once trained. Those coaches\, officials and referees who wish to take the licenced pathways later in their career will be at a significant advantage in the formal education process which will enable them to progress through the licenced pathway for all disciplines more swiftly than they may of done so without the Kanji training. \nOnly level 2 coaches or above can lead the tutoring\, level 1 coaches can attend to act as assistants. \nThis is a British Judo Licenced Coach Education/Revalidation Course

SUMMARY:National Rules Seminar - 21 Mar 26
DESCRIPTION:British Judo are pleased to offer a Rules Seminar primarily for referees and coaches\, it is mainly designed to disseminate the confirmed contest rules of 2026 and reinforce the key contest rules that are not changed. \nThe British seminar will include international referees at the sharp end on international duty. \nFurther to the IJF steer for the rules in 2026\, British Judo will disseminate this guidance using feedback from the Paris Grand Slam in February 2026 as clarity for the delivery. \nGBR encourage referees and coaches to work together to understand the interpretation principles more thoroughly to establish what is really happening and therefore the limits of what is allowed or not and why\, this will help referees to manage contests more accurately and help coaches to educate their athletes for compliance with the applicable rule set. It is hoped that athletes can learn to better manage contests within the rules by avoiding penalty situations and score more frequently once they have a better understanding of precisely how the rules are intended to work in detail. \nBritish Judo will continue their drive for excellence with VI and Adaptive rules tuition at the seminar with the hope to enable those matches to be managed more effectively across the country. \nTHIS IS A REVALIDATION EVENT FOR COACHES\, NATIONAL B AND ABOVE REFEREES \nDates / Times:  21st March 2026 Start 10.00\, End 17.00 \n\n  \n  \n  \n  \n\nIf the form does not appear below it is likely due to your device settings.\nPlease clear your “Cookies” and/or open this page in a private window IE.
