SUMMARY:National A & B - Referee Module - 15 and 16 Aug 26 - Northampton
DESCRIPTION:This module is mainly suitable for referees who are National C wanting to be National B and those already National B wanting to be National A level. \nReferee education modules are suitable for those candidates who wish to gain the knowledge and theoretical qualification for their next level referee award. The modules are also suitable for participants who have no intent to become a referee but do wish to improve their knowledge of refereeing. The module is focussed on detailed application of the current rule set\, attendees are expected to know the basic rules before attending at these levels\, the module is intended to sharpen the referees understanding and therefore application accurately. The module will end with a theory examination\, some of which will be elements you will have covered previously and some on the skills you have attained during the module. The practical element will be done separately at events identified by the NRC. \nThe module is a coach revalidation module for all levels of coach who fully qualify at a referee grade higher than they currently hold including the practical examination. DESCRIPTION:Referee education modules are suitable for those candidates who wish to gain the knowledge and theoretical qualification for their next level referee award. SUMMARY:JudoScotland Contest Recorder Award Online Course - 3 Part Course - 2027
DESCRIPTION:JudoScotland is pleased to announce that we are holding a Technical Official Contest Recorders Course which is the second level of officiating\, applicants must hold a Timekeeper/Scorer qualification to attend this course. \nThe training programme for Contest Recorders is normally done over different levels of competitions\, building on the elements learned as a Timekeeper/Scorer and focuses in on how to run an officiating table at a competition. \nOn successful completion of the training programme candidates will be able to run pools and knockout sections of a competition and run an officiating table. \nThis workshop will be held over three consecutive Mondays in June\, which will last between 60-90 minutes. \nAt the end of each workshop\, an assessment will be held. \nYou must complete all three workshops and pass the assessment to gain the Contest Recorder Award. \nTo be eligible you should be: \n\nat least 13 years of age\nHold a Timekeeper/Scorer qualification and have been active at a minimum of 3 events since qualification\nGood communication and ‘people skills’\n\nWhat’s involved? \n\nAwareness of legends and scores.\nAwareness of usual contest times\, osaekomi times and rest times.\nHow to run a table in general.\nHow to run pools or compound knockout.\nUnderstand the procedure when a player fails to appear or withdraws (including calling for a player).\nAwareness of basic safeguarding.\n\nIf you are a non JudoScotland member please email events@judoscotland.com  to secure your place. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nhttps://www.judoscotland.com/event/judoscotland-contest-recorder-award-online-course-3-part-course/2027-06-09/
