DESCRIPTION:First Aid for Judo is a practical\, judo-specific course covering the injuries and emergencies most likely to happen on the mat — from falls and fractures to concussion\, choking and cardiac arrest. You’ll learn what to do\, what not to do\, and when to escalate\, with clear\, coach-friendly scenarios. BJA recognised\, ideal for coaches\, volunteers\, and club welfare leads. \nTo book onto First Aid for Judo (BJA recognised)\, we just need:\nFull name\nAge (learners must be age-appropriate for the course)\nJudo club (and role if relevant: coach/parent/volunteer)\nPrior first aid knowledge is recommended but not required — we’ll cover everything you need on the day\, step-by-step\, with judo-specific scenarios. \nPlease be aware the course sometimes covers real-life emergencies and injuries\, which some people may find upsetting. If at any point you need a pause\, that’s absolutely fine.\nIt’s also a practical session\, so you’ll need to be able to take part in physical activities such as CPR on the floor (kneeling/bending down and getting back up).\nWhat to wear: comfortable clothing you can move in (sportswear is ideal).
