DESCRIPTION:National Technical Conference – 1st-2nd November 2025 Walsall\nBritish Judo’s National Technical Conference returns this autumn—and we’re thrilled to welcome Olympic legend Shinji Hosokawa 8th Dan (JPN) as our headline clinician.\nHosokawa is a two-time Olympic medalist having captured gold at the 1984 Los Angeles Games whilst a Bronze medal followed in Seoul in 1988 with a world title sandwiched in between in 1985\, before embarking on a coaching career that has produced stars such as triple-Olympic champion Tadahiro Nomura. This is a rare chance to learn directly from one of judo’s most respected technical minds at this year’s National Technical Conference. \nThe conference is aimed at all BJA-licensed coaches and judoka graded 2nd Kyu and above\, with all on-the-mat sessions led by Hosokawa. \nCost £60.00 for two days and £35 for one day \nRefreshments will be provided – attendees are requested to bring own lunch \nProgramme / Agenda \nThis Conference is a British Judo Association Licensed Coach Education/Revalidation Course. \nAttendance for two days qualifies as two revalidation events. DESCRIPTION:This module is designed to help club coaches teach club members the basics of coaching\, officiating and refereeing to a level where the member will be able to assist the coach in a club environment at pre licenced events. The club members will generally be taught in their own club\, it is expected that Kanji referees\, officials and coaches will be able to contribute to club based coaching sessions and in house events once trained.
