British Judo are pleased to offer a Rules Seminar Revalidation Module for primarily referees and coaches, it is designed to reinforce the contest rules application of the key parameters established for the current Olympic period. The British seminar will be underpinned by international referees including attendee(s) from the IJF seminar.

Further to the international referee and coach’s seminar delivered in Hungary under the direction of head referee director Daniel Lascau, British Judo will further disseminate this valuable detailed guidance. GBR encourage referees and coaches to work together to understand the interpretation principles more thoroughly of what is really happening and therefore the limits of what is allowed or not and why. This will help referees to manage contests more accurately and help coaches to educate their athletes for compliance with the applicable rule set, it is hoped that athletes can learn to better manage contests within the rules by avoiding penalty situations once they have been specifically informed of how the rules are intended to work.
