Eligibility All competitors must hold a valid BJA, BJC or AJA licence and must present this when booking in on the day of the event. All competitors must wear a white judogi. Those holding non-BJA grades should not hold grades above the colours stated. Competitors aged 9 years or over must have completed a grading examination within the last 9 months, (applies to novices if licence held over 6 months).
A: U12 Novice and Red Belts (players aged 8-11 years inclusive)
B: U12 Yellow Belts (players aged 8-11 years inclusive)
C: U12 Orange Belts (players aged 8-11 years inclusive)
D: Cadet Green & Below (players aged 14-17 years)
Method of Elimination
U12 Grade Banded – Where possible competitors will be divided into pools based on gender and weight. BJA under 12 restrictions will apply throughout.
Cadet Low Grade (Green belt & Below) Where possible competitors will be divided into pools based on gender and weight. IJF rules will apply throughout (Armlocks and Strangles Permitted). For both categories the tournament director reserves the right to amend weight categories as necessary.
Category A – 9.00am to 9.30am
Category B – 11.00am to 11.30am
Categories C & D – 12.00pm to 12.30pm

Photography Please note: By entering or attending this competition you are agreeing to accept the BJA policy in respect of photography and video usage. The use of photographic equipment is permitted; however, should a request be made for you to stop, then you should respect the wishes of others. Any lights or flashes should be disabled prior to taking any photographs of action on a contest area.
Coach Registration All coaches will be required to register at the spectator entrance where they should produce their BJA Coach’s ID Card and will receive a wristband that will enable them to access the competition area and coaching seating.
