UKCC Level 3
The UKCC – Level 3 in Coaching Performance Judo is a 1st 4sport Award which looks at developing coaches who work with competitive players. The programme is based on planning an annual programme which focuses on the holistic approach to training the whole player. Areas that the coach will explore are the competitive, technical, tactical, physical, psychological and lifestyle needs of the judo player.
Due to the nature of this award, we are looking for coaches already working with players 11 years of age and above, who currently hold the minimum grade of green belt and who participate in national level championships.
Currently valid BJA Level 2 and BJA Level 3 Coaches are eligible to apply to be considered for this programme provided that they fully meet the eligibility requirements. Coaches from other judo organisations are eligible to apply to be considered for this programme provided that they fully meet the eligibility requirements and hold a UKCC - Level 2 in Coaching Judo.
UKCC Level 3 Coaches are qualified to deliver:
- Coach all levels of judo activity
- Grade up to and including 18th Mon and 1st Kyu.
- Open and run a judo club.
- Insured to act as referee, tournament director/technical official for Level 1 judo competitions*
- Obtain Matside accreditation for competition
