January 1974, and now holds a competitive 3rd Dan. In 1981
he formed the successful Clacton Judo Club, and is now an acting
senior coach within the club. He was a National class
C referee, but due to his climb up the corporate ladder, and the
commitment to his club, there was not enough time to pursue this
side. As a senior manager for B.T. one of his key rolls
is that of an accredited interviewer, of which these skills prove
usefully working within complaints and conduct. He also
served on the Lord Chancellors Advisory Panel interviewing prospective
magistrates, and making recommendations to the Lord Chancellor.
Another key function of this panel was to investigate complaints
made against Magistrates, another synergy to work on the complaints
and conduct panel.
Sara Hayes (Adjudication
Pannel C&C)
Sara started Judo in
1972, and with intermittent breaks, going on to become a Club
Coach, and holding a 1st Dan, has derived enormous pleasure from
participating at club level (mostly in the Midlands) ever since. Outside
of Judo she is a solicitor, and left her partnership after 8 years
of high street practice. Since 1993 she has worked at the
Law Society dealing with consumer complaints in various capacities,
including Adjudication.
