The Club Referee award is the first entry point for the British refereeing system.

The Club award suits those people of at least green belt and 12 years of age who wish to contribute back to judo at primarily level 1 and 2 events

The training module for the Club Referee award is run over 1 day and focusses on all of the basic needs of a judo referee, the examination is a separate day where the new referee will be refereeing at an event after having had some practice events as a trainee.

On successful completion of the training module, theory examination and practical assessment, candidates will receive a British Judo Association Club Referee award and will be able to referee in appropriate events.
