Talented Athlete Scholarship Scheme (TASS) 2007/2008

 

The Talented Athlete Scholarship Scheme (TASS) is Government initiative in its 4th year that aims to support talented athletes, not already on World Class funding, to continue with a formal academic program whilst continuing to participate in their chosen sport at a high level.

Players will not receive actual grants but will receive the benefit of services (e.g. coaching, physiotherapy, strength and conditioning) up to the value of £3,000.

 

PLAYER ELIGIBILITY

•  Players must be 15-25 years of age (players must be at least 16 years by 1st June 2008); players with a disability must be 15 - 35 years of age.
•  Players must be in education studying for an academic qualification (either full time or part time), in England.
•  Players must meet the Performance criteria detailed in the BJA’s TASS National Framework.

•  Players are not eligible for TASS if they are in receipt of a Player Personal Award from the British Judo Association or UK Sport.
