May Madness, the fundraising
event for the British Judo Trust, is nearly here. Like
last year (when Judo in July ran), your club will keep 50% of
the amount raised and the remaining figure will go to the British
Judo Trust.
The Trust is a limited
company with charitable status, and is a separate entity to the
British Judo Association. In accordance with the charitable
objectives set out in the Trust's governing document, the Trust
supports activity within three key programmes; Widening Participation,
Developing People and Facility Development, and will shortly
be open for applications.
There are many incentives
for your club get involved in May Madness:
-
The club who submits
the best idea before the start of May will have their event
covered by a special double page spread in the July edition
Matside including photographs by a BJA photographer. This
edition will be particularly prestigious as it will be a Beijing
Olympic special, with an extended print run.
