On 7 th July, Holbrook
Judo Club (Gosport) will be recreating their renowned judo “throw
in” in aid of the British Judo Trust.
Four years ago Holbrook
judo club members achieved what is regarded as a world record,
the club members at the time set a record of 1000 throws in an
hour.
Assorted members of the
club are gaining sponsorship to undertake a 20 minute non-stop
“throw in” which will consist of club members being thrown with
judo techniques all for a good cause .
All money raised will be
split equally between the British Judo Trust, a Charity that supports
the development of the sport within the UK, and Holbrook Judo
Club. The Club hopes to raise money to help their members to travel
to more judo events.
Paul Vella, Coach at Holbrook
Judo Club said, “We are looking forward to the fundraising event.
We will be able to raise money for a worthwhile cause as well
as having lots of fun!”
