Young judo player gives back

Emily Hickman, a member of the English World Class Start Programme, raised a fantastic £90 for Yorkshire & Humberside Sports Aid, by running the Great Yorkshire Run in Sheffield.

Emily, who is 16 and trains at the Glanford Judo Club, is a talented young athlete who represented Great Britain in the 2006 European Cadet Championships, and England in the UK School Games, as well as other National and International Events.

Commenting British Judo’s World Class Start Co-Ordinator Trevor Sitlinton said, “I am very pleased that one of our young athletes gave up her time and effort to raise money for a cause – which many of our athletes benefit from".
