“Give it a go” brand launched for G4S judo programme

G4S and British Judo have today launched a new brand to support the G4S youth judo programme, which will give 750 children the chance to take part in judo lessons for a year and grade, subsidised by G4S, at participating BJA judo clubs.

The “Give it a go judo” brand will run across a host of marketing materials and will assist in raising the profile of the initiative.

BJA clubs have the opportunity to attract new members through the programme, which will be available to the children of G4S employees.

G4S will pay for a month of classes, then subsidise the remainder of the year, as well as pay for a licence, three gradings and provide a judo suit for £1.

The children participating in the programme will be issued with a book of vouchers, each which will be given to either the club (for the lessons and gradings) or the BJA (for the licence and suit).

Clubs will be refunded to an agreed amount for the lessons and the gradings. The programme will be supported by a substantial marketing campaign, which will launch next month.

If your club wishes to participate in this programme, which will help to bring children into the sport up and down the country, please complete the agreement form on the following link. FAQs and more information are also available.
