Events Manager

Salary region £20,000 plus benefits

The British Judo Association (BJA) is seeking high calibre candidates for the position of Events Manager to become a key member of the Executive Management team. The BJA has been highly successful in the past in delivering results and medals at European, World and Olympic levels. We have tremendous unrealised potential and we are looking for a highly committed individual who has the necessary experience, skills and ambition to help drive our Association to the next level.

The Events Manager will:

 

•  Manage the organisation, implementation and monitoring of the GB World Cup event (the premier event on the yearly calendar), ensuring that all aspects of the project plan are completed on time and to the required specification .

•  Serve as the Event Manager for the following events:

British Open (Junior and Senior), National Age Band Championships, Visually Impaired British Open, British Closed (Junior and Senior), AGM and Technical Congress.

•  Serve as project manager for special projects as assigned by the CEO, such as completing bid or grant applications for future events

•  Maintain and develop all event management policies and procedures to ensure no detail is overlooked when running these events.

The successful candidate will desirably be educated with a relevant degree, and excellent organisational and communications skills are essential as well as being willing to work flexible hours. This is a key management position within the BJA and it offers exceptional opportunities for advancement, both professional and financial, to the right candidate.
