2007 EJU EUROPEAN MASTERS/VETERANS CHAMPIONSHIPS - ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
16-18 NOVEMBER 2007, SINDELFINGEN, GERMANY
Since GBR hosted the European Veterans Championships, the EJU have introduced an on-line Event Accreditation System called JUMAS. The Great Britain Cadet, Junior, and Senior Teams have had to use this system for some years now.

Basically, it means that any player wishing to enter an EJU event, must be entered through the online EJU Jumas System, which I control here at Head Office on behalf of the Association.

As you can see from the Event Information, all players wishing to enter the 2007 European Veterans Championships must be entered into the online EJU Jumas System. In order to be entered into the EJU Jumas System, you must first apply for an EJU Competition Card - Please note that this is an EJU requirement - not a BJA requirement.

This card costs 25 euros and is valid for five years. and allows you to enter any EJU Event within the five year period. Please note that the 25 euro fee is the fee for the card, and there may also be an additional entry fee for each competition that you decide to enter.

Should you wish to go ahead and apply for a card, please send to me (in writing) at the BJA Head Office, the following information as soon as possible:

1) Name of Player
2) Date of Birth
3) 1x Passport Sized Photo
4) 25 euro fee (or £17) cheques made payable to BJA.

Please also let me have full details for your entry into the European Championships i.e: Age Band / Weight Category etc

Once received, I will register you into the EJU System, and enter you into Jumas for the 2007 European Veterans Championships.

It will be down to the individuals to organisers their own Travel and Accommodation Arrangements and notify the Organising Committee (German Judo Federation) of these details and a copy of their entry.

I understand that your BJA Licence will cover you for insurance to a certain degree, but I would recommend you also take out a Travel Insurance policy in addition to just relying on your Licence.

Finally, I have spoken to Donald Steel, the BJA Head of Corporate Affairs, who has regrettably advised that the Association will not be able to offer any funding towards players attending this event. Therefore, players would have to attend this event on a self-funding basis.

To summarise, I will make the entries into Jumas, and the Individuals are to make their own Travel and Accommodation arrangements.

I hope this is clear, however, please contact me should you require any further clarification.

Kind regards
