The EGM on 7 June at High Wycombe judo club was cancelled, as there were not a sufficient number of clubs in the meeting to reach the minimum number to be quorate.  The quorate number is 5% of the total number of clubs and in this case 43 clubs were required.  A total of 35 attended the meeting.

As this meeting was to approve a new set of Memorandum and Articles, which is not exactly the most interesting agenda item one might hope for, we always knew it would be a struggle to get the required number.

Chairman Densign White would like to extend his public thanks to all those clubs who made the effort to travel on the 7 th .

As per our existing Memorandum and Articles if a General Meeting is not quorate it should be re-convened one week later on the same day at a place and time to be determined.

The re-convened meeting will be held at:

Venue: Da Costa Room, Walsall Centre of Excellence, Wolverhampton University, Walsall Campus.

Time: 11am

Date: 14 June 2008

There is no minimum number of clubs required to make this re-convened meeting quorate. It will be deemed to be quorate based on whatever number of clubs actually attends.

The only agenda item for this meeting is the approval of the new Memorandum and Articles for the Association.
