In order to ensure we are
developing the best possible Performance Player Pathway, we would
like to take the opportunity to consult with all those coaches
who are interested in developing competitive players, across the
World Class Start, World Class Development and World Class Podium
elements of the pathway.
As you know British Judo
is in a period of transition implementing a number of changes
regarding appropriate long term development programmes for players,
a competition review which aligns domestic competition with the
international calendar, a British ranking system for Seniors,
U.20s and U.17 players,a squad system and programme which underpins
and aims to improve the overall standard of greater numbers of
players and the development of more transparent criteria for entry
and selection to funded programmes.
We have therefore made
available the opportunity for all interested coaches to discuss
with BJA staff any of the key issues regarding the Performance
Player Pathway, for an 1 hour to 1 1/2 hour consultation session
following the end of the North West Age Band event on the Saturday
1 March.
We look forward to engaging
in some discussions with you as we believe this process is essential
to develop successful performance structures and support for 2012
and beyond
